Bruno Cerella (born July 30, 1986) is an Argentine professional basketball player who plays for Emporio Armani Milano of the Italian League.
Hailing from Bahía Blanca, a city seeped in basketball tradition where players such as Manu Ginóbili were born and raised, he was predestined for a career in basketball. Having come to Italy as a teenager he slowly established himself and moved up the leagues to join what is currently the strongest Italian team Emporio Armani Milano where he became a fan favourite due to his dynamism and dedication to the team.
After playing junior basketball for Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca and Pueyrredon in his birth country, Cerella moved to Italy aged 18 to play professional basketball.
Playing for a succession of teams in the lower divisions he joined Banca Tercas Teramo in the first division in 2008. With current teammate David Moss he helped the team reach the semifinals of the Coppa Italiaand third place in the league in regular season before being eliminated in the playoffs by Emporio Armani Milano. After a few seasons Lega Basket Serie A he joined Emporio Armani Milano in 2013 and participated in Europe's premier competition the Euroleague for the first time in his career.
Although rarely a starter and not a prolific scorer, he's invaluable for his teams as a luxury bench option who will reliably perform his defensive duties, contributing steals, and rarely lose the ball when in attack.
